Resumo: Blockchain does appear to have a transformative potential for creativity industries. Mougayar (2016) states that blockchain technology is as important as the World Wide Web. Although this technology is in its early days, it holds the potential to drastically change the supply chain. Organizations such as Open Music Initiative have already started to explore these possibilities. This article aims to analyze how might blockchain technology emerges as a disruptive force on the music industry.
