Transportation assessment in simulated curved canals after retreatment with rotary and reciprocating systems

Material and Methods: forty curved resin blocks with simulated root canals were prepared and filled. After that, each block was randomly assigned to 4 groups (n = 10) according to the retreatment system used. Stereomicroscopic images from each block were taken before and after retreatment procedures. Material e Métodos: quarenta blocos de resina curva com canais radiculares simulados foram preparados e preenchidos. Depois disso, cada bloco foi distribuído aleatoriamente em 4 grupos (n = 10) de acordo com o sistema de retratamento utilizado. Imagens estereomicroscópicas de cada bloco foram tomadas antes e após os procedimentos de retratamento. A avaliação do transporte do canal foi obtida para todo o comprimento do canal e para duas regiões de canais independentes: partes retas e curvas.
