Resumo: | The authors conducted a study on the concept of autism spectrum disorders (ASD) and the relationship of these disorders with criminal behavior. The presence of comorbidity with attention deficit disorder and conduct disorder seems to increase the risk of these behaviors in patients with ASD. Certainly, a better understanding and management of comorbid psychopathology in ASD, with pharmacological and psychotherapeutic treatment and family guidance, can potentially help in the prevention of offensive behaviors in people with this disorder. |
