Resumo: | The study of international relations in China has advanced in recent years with the country’s growing importance on the world stage. Efforts have appeared to create an essentially Chinese theoretical body that reflects its traditional culture and philosophy, which is being called the Chinese School Movement. There is consensus on the probable historical origins of this new Chinese theory of international relations and propositions such as moral realism, relational theory, and the “tianxia” system attract increasing attention, but do not yetoffer an alternative and innovative model. Overcoming these obstacles involves correcting organizational, academic, and theoretical limitations that persist in local universities. |
