Resumo: The Graduate Program in Design - PPGD/UFAM, started its activities on 08/14/2017, with approval by CAPES, in the professional modality. It represents the first strictu sensu master’s degree in Design eminently in the North region, having as its origin and basis the evolution and maturation from the undergraduate course in Industrial Design and Design, created at the Federal University of Amazonas - UFAM in 1988. The PPGD currently has 17 professors, 16 permanent and 1 collaborator. In January/ 2022, the PPDG reached the production of 24 dissertations, unfortunately as a result of the Covid-19 Pandemic impacted on UFAM from March/2020, other potential dissertation defenses were postponed, in addition to postponing the admission of new classes. However, the program is following in continuous advances, adjusting and circumventing such difficulty of the moment. The program has a strong potential for interaction with the productive sector, a fact proven by the productions generated in the program, as well as the approximation of segments of the productive sector to seek the formation of partnerships. However, excessive bureaucratizing regulations within the university are preventing progress in establishing partnerships between the PPGD and society in general. This text, within the scope of the editorial dossier of the DAT, deepens the elements discussed so far, in order to fully present all aspects of the program, including its self-assessment and planning for facing the next quadrennium.

Universidade Anhambi Murumbi2022-03-23info:eu-repo/semantics/articleinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersionapplication/pdfhttps://datjournal.anhembi.br/dat/article/view/58110.29147/datjournal.v7i1.581DAT Journal; Vol. 7 No. 1 (2022): Art, Design and Technology + UFAM Dossier; 215-232DAT Journal; Vol. 7 Núm. 1 (2022): Arte, Diseño y Tecnología + Dossier UFAM; 215-232DAT Journal; v. 7 n. 1 (2022): Arte, Design e Tecnologia + Dossiê UFAM; 215-2322526-178910.29147/datjournal.v7i1reponame:DATJournalinstname:Universidade Anhembi Morumbi (ANHEMBI)instacron:ANHEMBIporhttps://datjournal.anhembi.br/dat/article/view/581/403https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0info:eu-repo/semantics/openAccessKuwahara, NelsonPereira, Helder Alexandre AmorimRuschival, Claudete Barbosa2022-03-28T18:50:54Zoai:ojs.datjournal.anhembi.br:article/581Revistahttps://datjournal.anhembi.br/datPUBhttps://datjournal.anhembi.br/dat/oai||ppgdesign@anhembi.br2526-17892526-1789opendoar:2022-03-28T18:50:54DATJournal - Universidade Anhembi Morumbi (ANHEMBI)false
