Resumo: | The purpose of this psaper is to bring to discussion some subsidies for retail design decisions, considering the reflections regarding some shopping experience at phygital stores. In other words, brick-and-mortar stores that include digital technologies. The study starts from a bibliographic review about retail design and shopping experience at these stores. The output of this work has been analyzed and compared to retailers statements and professional retail designers, during the 2022 Latin American event for the retail sector, last September (2022). The testimonies confirm the integration necessity of the emerging technologies with the traditional stores in order to improve the consumer experience and reflect empirically the theoretical recommendations related to retail design. |

El estudio se basa en una revisión de la literatura sobre el diseño minorista y la experiencia de compra en estas tiendas. Los datos obtenidos en la revisión fueron analizados y comparados con testimonios de minoristas y profesionales del retail design durante un evento latinoamericano del sector, realizado en septiembre de 2022. Los testimonios confirman la necesidad de integrar tecnologías emergentes en las tiendas físicas para mejorar la experiencia del consumidor y reflejan, en la práctica a menudo empírica, lo que las teorías recomiendan en relación con el diseño minorista.Este artigo traz subsídios para as decisões de projetos de design de varejo, a partir de reflexões sobre experiência de compra de usuários em lojas figitais, ou seja, lojas físicas que agregam tecnologias digitais. O estudo é fundamentado por uma revisão de literatura sobre design de varejo e experiência de compra nessas lojas. Os dados obtidos na revisão foram analisados e confrontados com depoimentos de varejistas e profissionais em design de varejo durante evento latino-americano do setor, realizado em setembro 2022.
