Resumo: This article aims to identify, from a semiotic perspective, the diversity of signs in maps as components of virtual exhibitions and their contributions for the inclusion of children in museums. For that purpose, it was conducted a bibliographical research from the terms: museum, virtual exhibition, map and children's audience. Afterwards, maps elaborated for three virtual exhibitions were analyzed. Each map presented signs contemplating different aspects, which are: qualitative-iconic, singular-indicative and conventional-symbolic. This diversity of aspects identified enabled a reflection on possible contributions for the children's audience.
