Resumo: | With the movement to revitalize the Brazilian handicrafts in the 1990s encouraged by public policies, craft activity becomes attractive to the economic and cultural sector in the country. Based on the assumption that craft production is benefited by the organization of craftsmen in associations and cooperatives, this research investigates the effects of associativism in the development of Paraiba handicrafts from the perspective of the craftsman. Through a multiple case study in four Associations of Craftswomen, the research reveals a handicraft that is established in the territory as a reflection of assistentialist and marketing approaches applied by the public sector, being influenced by the economic sector and neglected as a cultural activity. |

Universidade Anhambi Murumbi2021-03-15info:eu-repo/semantics/articleinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersionapplication/pdfhttps://datjournal.anhembi.br/dat/article/view/33510.29147/dat.v6i1.335DAT Journal; Vol. 6 No. 1 (2021): II Encontro DAT + Dossiê PPGDesign UFCG; 198-212DAT Journal; Vol. 6 Núm. 1 (2021): II Encontro DAT + Dossiê PPGDesign UFCG; 198-212DAT Journal; v. 6 n. 1 (2021): II Encontro DAT + Dossiê PPGDesign UFCG; 198-2122526-178910.29147/dat.v6i1reponame:DATJournalinstname:Universidade Anhembi Morumbi (ANHEMBI)instacron:ANHEMBIporhttps://datjournal.anhembi.br/dat/article/view/335/255Albuquerque dos Anjos, RaissaMarcel de Arruda Torres, PabloBarros da Mota Silveira, Nathalieinfo:eu-repo/semantics/openAccess2021-10-22T15:01:54Zoai:ojs.datjournal.anhembi.br:article/335Revistahttps://datjournal.anhembi.br/datPUBhttps://datjournal.anhembi.br/dat/oai||ppgdesign@anhembi.br2526-17892526-1789opendoar:2021-10-22T15:01:54DATJournal - Universidade Anhembi Morumbi (ANHEMBI)false |
