Resumo: It is possible to verify the direct effects that digital environments have on artistic expression and aesthetics, enabling new perceptive experiences. Immersion and stimulation are characteristics of the artistic experience; however, with the advent of interactive digital environments, a new type of involvement emerges. In computer- based interactive art, activity occurs through contact between people and artefacts; the user (or audience) and the machine, together, form a relationship capable of producing a unique artistic result at each encounter. The notion of “body” expands, encompassing the physical, mental, emotional, social and virtual dimensions. Finally, the mix of humans and non-humans, including robots, suggests new concepts and opportunities. In Japan, the Society 5.0 initiative aims to apply emerging technologies related to social robotics, embedded AI, IOT, environmental intelligence, virtual and augmented reality, and advanced human-computer interfaces to qualitatively improve the lives of individual human beings and benefit society as a whole. How do we situate ourselves in these new realities and worldviews?

How do we situate ourselves in these new realities and worldviews?
