Resumo: This study proposes to reflect on the place of orality in teacher education, focusing on the production of brief episodes of teaching practices – called oral micro lessons – by undergraduate students in Letters. The hypothesis is that the processes of initial training for teaching are constituted by the appropriation of textual genres whose incorporation both allows a certain exercise of the teaching work by the students, as well as subsidizes the increment of their literacy practices. From a theoretical and methodological point of view, the approach to oral micro lessons as a textual genre in teacher education calls for a double perspective (didactical and interactional), based on the notion of didactic gesture as an analytical device. The description and analysis of a micro lesson in its global compositional configuration and of some textual resources involved in its formulation allow to raise elements for the understanding of the ways in which the students represent the central action of their future work – the teaching experience.
