Resumo: | The article analyzes discourses on "gender ideology" in social media posts of candidates in the 2018, along the time of Brazilian election campaign. The theoretical apparatus that conducts the investigation finds support, mainly, in Foucault discourse studies. The corpus is formed by four publications on social networks of candidates for positions in the Legislative Branch (state and federal deputy), which were linked to the allied base of presidential Jair Bolsonaro - that time a candidate. About the methodology, it is worth mentioning that this is a descriptive-interpretative study of a qualitative nature. The analyses show that the discourses on "gender ideology" frame such practice as an evil to be fought, especially because it distorts values of the Christian religion and hurts the innocence of children. The candidates insert themselves, therefore, in a position of combating such "gender ideology" and, from there, seek engagement with potential voters on the web. |
