Resumo: This paper addresses the cultural identities of the black diaspora, exploring its constitution through multi-locality, the colonial historical processes of racial objectification and the practices of black resistance on its individual and collective dimensions. Approaching the use of images and the forms of representation as mechanisms to naturalize racial hierarchies, this study discusses the disruption of the colonial project through the development of critical awareness alongside new standpoints and perspectives, presenting the convergence points on the identity discourses of the black diaspora.
