Resumo: We discuss the tension between communicability and incommunicability in the experience of using YouTube and Instagram by adolescents from Goiás. It is a work with an ethnographic approach, whose analysis was developed from a dialectical perspective. We found that the uses made by the interviewees are closer to a critical observation of interactions already published by other agents than to direct participation in the circuits. This is due to a feeling that the content that could be produced by them would not meet the expectations generated by other users in the dynamics of use.

Es un trabajo con enfoque etnográfico, cuyo análisis se desarrolló desde una perspectiva dialéctica y específicamente comunicativa. Encontramos que los usos que hacen los entrevistados se acercan más a la observación crítica de interacciones ya publicadas por otros agentes que a la participación directa en los circuitos. Esto se debe a la percepción de los jóvenes de que los contenidos que podrían ser producidos por ellos no cumplirían con las expectativas generadas por los usuarios de las redes en la dinámica de uso.Discutimos sobre a tensão entre comunicabilidade e incomunicabilidade na experiência de uso do YouTube e Instagram por adolescentes goianos. Trata-se de um trabalho com abordagem etnográfica, cuja análise foi desenvolvida sob uma perspectiva dialética e especificamente comunicacional. Constatamos que os usos feitos pelos entrevistados estão mais próximos à observação crítica das interações já publicadas por outros agentes que da participação direta nos circuitos.
