Resumo: The document is the outcome of a research on development at an emergent tourist destination in Argentina. Its importance relies on the possibility of linking tourism - from a systemic approach - to local development, intending to unveil initiatives, changes and implementation of developing policies and strategies. It is a case study conducted at San José city, Entre Rios Province, from 2004 to 2009. Socio economic impacts on wage, investments and benefits were assessed.

Socio economic impacts on wage, investments and benefits were assessed.Este documento presenta los resultados de una investigación sobre  el desarrollo de un destino emergente en Argentina. Se sostuvo en la necesidad de realizar un aporte respecto de la relación existente entre el turismo, desde el análisis sistémico, y el desarrollo local a partir de intentar verificar el surgimiento de iniciativas, o cambios, e implementación de políticas y estrategias de desarrollo. Se basó en el estudio del caso de la ciudad de San José, provincia de Entre Ríos. El período de estudio quedó comprendido entre los años 2004 y 2009. Se intentó analizar su impacto socioeconómico relativo al empleo, los emprendimientos e inversiones, y se tuvo en cuenta el aporte reflejado en los beneficios que ocasionó en particular en la población residente. O documento apresenta os resultados de uma pesquisa sobre o desenvolvimento de um destino emergente da Argentina.  Justificou-se pela necessidade de realizar uma contribuição a respeito da relação existente entre o turismo, a partir de uma análise sistêmica, e o desenvolvimento local na tentativa de desvendar o surgimento de iniciativas, ou mudanças, e implementação de políticas e estratégias de desenvolvimento. Trata-se de um estudo de caso realizado na cidade de San José, província de Entre Rios entre os anos 2004 e 2009. Tentou-se analisar o impacto sócio-econômico em relação ao emprego, os empreendimentos e investimentos, assim como a contribuição refletida nos benefícios que ocasionou, em particular, na população residente.
