Resumo: Ancient economy has been relegated tothe background in the teaching of AncientHistory present in the BNCC proposal.Its generalizing and little-depthcharacter does not contribute to a perspectivethat accentuates the alterity ofthe economic activities of Antiquity, inaddition to not encouraging forms ofcomparison between different societies.The objective of this paper is to reflecton economic concepts and practices,such as exchanges, trade and market inthe light of new historiographical perspectiveshow a way of deepening theproposal for History teaching presentedat the BNCC and overcoming Eurocentricperspectives associated with Historyand antiquity.
