This article deals with the reflection of History teaching in the museum, which I understand as a space for historical learning. The objective of expanding the possibilities of educational dialogue related to heritage assets, collections, artifacts, exhibitions and even building contributes to the discussion on Heritage Education practices in conjunction with the teaching of History. Methodologically presents the theoretical approach that guides the analysis, with studies of heritage education, social museology, history teaching and historical learning. And, later, a didactic-historical proposal developed with a focus on historical learning is presented. In this proposal, the concepts of local history, places of memory and didactic knowledge were linked in the José An-tônio Pereira Museum in Campo Grande-MS, talking about the goods, objects that (re)tell stories of the foundation of the city.
