The africanities in the historic center of Crato-CE and the teaching of geography

Resumo: | This article aims to recognize the Africanities in the architectures of the Historical Museum of Crato and the Church of Our Lady of Penha, both located in the historic center of the city of Crato, Ceará. In these two urban facilities there is a set of African knowledge. To carry out this research we made a bibliographic review in order to base ourselves on the perspective of Afro-descent and we worked with iconography. To this end, we dialogue with authors such as Cunha Junior (2010, 2011, 2020), Silva (2019), Souza (2016) and Quirino (2018). The article articulates reflections in the field of history, geography and education, reflects the importance of the production of this knowledge and points out the urban routes (SILVA; CUNHA JUNIOR, 2019) as a methodological possibility in the construction of an anti-racist education. |

En estas dos instalaciones urbanas hay un conjunto de conocimientos africanos. Para llevar a cabo esta investigación hicimos una revisión bibliográfica con el fin de basarnos en la perspectiva de la ascendencia afrodescendiente y trabajamos con iconografía. Para ello, dialogamos con autores como Cunha Junior (2010, 2011, 2020), Silva (2019), Souza (2016) y Quirino (2018). El artículo articula reflexiones en el campo de la historia, la geografía y la educación, refleja la importancia de la producción de este conocimiento y señala las rutas urbanas (SILVA; CUNHA JUNIOR, 2019) como posibilidad metodológica en la construcción de una educación antirracista.Cet article vise à reconnaître les africanités dans les architectures du Musée historique de Crato et de l’église Notre-Dame de Penha, tous deux situés dans le centre historique de la ville de Crato, Ceará. Dans ces deux équipements urbains, il y a un ensemble de connaissances africaines. Pour mener à bien cette recherche, nous avons fait une revue bibliographique afin de nous baser sur la perspective de l’ascendance africaine et nous avons travaillé avec l’iconographie. À cette fin, nous dialoguons avec des auteurs tels que Cunha Junior (2010, 2011, 2020), Silva (2019), Souza (2016) et Quirino (2018). L’article articule des réflexions dans le domaine de l’histoire, de la géographie et de l’éducation, reflète l’importance de la production de ces connaissances et souligne les itinéraires urbains (SILVA; CUNHA JUNIOR, 2019) comme possibilité méthodologique dans la construction d’une éducation antiraciste.Este artigo tem o objetivo de reconhecer as africanidades nas arquiteturas do Museu Histórico do Crato e a Igreja de Nossa Senhora da Penha, ambos situados no centro histórico da cidade do Crato, Ceará. Nesses dois equipamentos urbanos existem um conjunto de conhecimentos africanos. Para realizar essa pesquisa fizemos uma revisão bibliográfica a fim de nos fundamentar na perspectiva da afrodescendência e trabalhamos com a iconografia. Para tanto, dialogamos com autores, como Cunha Junior (2010, 2011, 2020), Silva (2019), Souza (2016) e Quirino (2018).
