Resumo: This article aims to discuss the laws 10.639/03 and 11.645/08 as part of affirmative policies and combat prejudice established since the colonial period. We bring to light the possibilities of the interdisciplinary proposal of African and Afro-Brazilian themes and their unfolding from the teaching of history in interface with music/art. Such determinations are fundamental for the promotion of decolonial teaching in Brazil, enabling the dynamization of studies and reflections in the most varied spaces, in order to think the prejudices, the romanticized and folkloric images of the Brazilian "miscegenation" as a myth, the structural and institutional racisms that remain present in public spaces such as schools, universities, churches and beyond. Since the Brazilian historical construction itself has allowed and influenced the demonization of religions of African origin, the standardization of the enslavement of Africans, the violence and suffering during the colonization of Brazil and the post-abolition segregation in the country.
