Resumo: This work sought to develop a method of relativizing the arithmetic average of grades to obtain the final result in the school evaluation, using a course in the distance education format for teachers of Basic Education in continuing education, reflecting on the evaluation practice in schools and the final grade obtained by arithmetic average of grades. The course sought to instrumentalize the teachers, offering alternatives for the analysis of the final result, discussing possible problems related to the arithmetic average of grades. The methodology used in this study, of a qualitative nature, involved the application of an online continuing teacher training course and subsequent analysis of testimonies related to the use of the evaluative methodology proposed therein, collected from the course platform itself and, years later, carrying out a new collection of testimonials with the same subjects, through the Google Forms platform. We noticed the acceptance of the participants regarding the proposed evaluative practice, including declaring the presential use of this methodology in schools and dissemination among colleagues. Este trabalho buscou desenvolver um método de relativização da média aritmética das notas para obtenção do resultado final na avaliação escolar, utilizando para isso um curso no formato EaD para professores da Educação Básica em formação continuada, refletindo sobre a prática avaliativa nas escolas e a nota final obtida por média aritmética. O curso procurou instrumentalizar os professores, oferecendo alternativas de análise para o resultado final, discutindo possíveis problemas relacionados à média aritmética das notas. A metodologia utilizada neste estudo, de cunho qualitativo, envolveu a aplicação de um curso de formação docente continuada online e posterior análise de depoimentos relativos ao uso da metodologia avaliativa nele proposta, colhidos da própria plataforma de curso e, anos após, realizando nova coleta de depoimentos com os mesmos sujeitos, por meio da plataforma Google Forms. Percebemos a aceitação dos participantes com relação à prática avaliativa proposta, inclusive declarando uso presencial desta metodologia nas escolas e divulgação entre os colegas.
