Resumo: | This reflective text was written by the Chief of Staff and, later, Secretary of Education for the city of São Paulo, who was active in these roles from 2002 to 2004. The text discusses some special projects developed in the period and their contributions to the learning and development of students. It highlights how projects provide social and scientific meaning to everyday live, insofar as they dialogue with academic content, joining the object and activity of learning, and considering the social subjects involved in the action. The author concludes that working with these projects, always based on use of the Research Guide and Study Plan, requires a new didactic organization and new attitudes from teachers and education professionals. |

O texto apresenta alguns projetos especiais desenvolvidos no período e suas contribuições para a aprendizagem e desenvolvimento dos alunos. Destaca o modo como os projetos davam significado social e científico ao cotidiano, na medida em que dialogavam com o conteúdo escolar, unindo objeto e atividade de aprendizagem, e considerando os sujeitos sociais envolvidos na ação. A autora conclui que trabalhar com esses projetos, sempre pautados pelo uso de Roteiro de Pesquisa e Plano de Estudos, exige uma nova organização didática e novas posturas dos professores e profissionais da educação.
