Resumo: The training and teaching qualifications are all indicative of the quality of education. Several schools of thought examine the training and teaching qualification for teaching in higher education, considering the economic or educational focus. This article seeks to distinguish two approaches, revealing elements that show the intricate relations between them. Reflects also on the effects of the completion of necessary legal aspects related to the titration to higher education and describes public policies for training, qualification and evaluation of teachers of higher education in Brazil. Seeks to not only raise, but emphasized the need for discussion about the teacher training for the exercise of the teaching in higher educaction.

Varias escuelas de pensamiento estudian la formacion y cualificacion de profesores de la enseñanza superior, teniendo en cuenta el enfoque economico o educativo. Este artículo tiene por objeto distinguir dos enfoques, revelando elementos que muestran las intrincadas relaciones entre ellos. Refleja tambien en los efectos de la realizacion de los necesarios aspectos juridicos relacionados con la valoracion a la educacion superior y se describen las politicas públicas de capacitacion, calificacion y evaluacion de los profesores de la enseñanza superior en Brasil. Por lo tanto busca no solo aumentar, pero insistio en la necesidad de un debate sobre la formacion de profesores para el ejercicio de la enseñanza superior.A formação e qualificação do corpo docente sao aspectos indicativos de qualidade da educação. Diversas correntes de pensamento analisam a formação e qualificação docente para o magisterio superior, considerando o enfoque pedagogico ou econômico. O presente artigo procura distinguir os dois enfoques, revelando elementos que denotam as intrincadas relacoes entre eles. Reflete, tambem, sobre os efeitos do necessario cumprimento de aspectos legais relativos à titulação para a docencia superior e descreve politicas públicas voltadas à formação, qualificação e avaliação do corpo docente da educação superior brasileira.
