Resumo: | Many of the causes that affect the compliance to antiretroviral treatment are known. However, the prejudice that prevails over this subject reflects interior postures that are final in the compliance to the treatment. Through this perspective, this research aimed to qualify and delimit the causes of therapy rejection in patients from Bezerra de Menezes Assistance Home. 6 among a total of 22 families of HIV/AIDS seropositive individuals were interviewed. During the course of study there was experimental mortality of 1 family that dissociated itself from the institutional project. The interviews were open and the analysis of speech was interpretative. The observation considered, besides the speech, the reactions, feelings and values that the disease and the treatment assumed in the lives of these people. Refusing the initial hypothesis that resistance to therapeutics was mainly subjective, the study proved that objective reasons are equally proportional. |
