This study aimed to characterize the physical and psychological damages caused by interfamilial child sexual abuse. Based on visits to a non-profit institution and on the contact with victims through structured plays, a correlation to available knowledge was done, aiming at identifying the consequences related to the issue. The victims, many times, felt as if imprisoned by fear, doubt and guilt, silencing their naive feelings, which were crushed by those supposed to give them care and protection – their parents or close relatives. Results showed that the physical and psychological behaviors of abused children were related to those presented by other studies. The bad use of parents’ authority, early sexual stimulation followed or not by physical aggression and sexualization of their emotions, generating confusion of values that were taught, could all lead to major sequels. Therefore, it is necessary to release such information to reduce the problems, besides suggesting that parents and responsible ones be aware of their children behavior.
