Resumo: The hemoglobinopathy are recessively sanguine disturbances that promote alterations of globin part of the hemoglobin, these changes give the hemoglobin molecule the physical chemistries characteristics that might be detectable through lab exams. Considering the seriousness of certain ways of thalassemia and its high populational incidence, the actual work had in its objective to show ways of the lab diagnosis of this disease and finally it was observed the importance of the association of some exams to the safe diagnosis of thalassemia, being some of them of selection and others of confirmation.
