Resumo: Life quality in work involves physical and environmental aspects, such as the psychological aspects in the working milieu. Burnout is a psychological syndrome provoked by chronic interpersonal stressing factors in work. It is characterized by emotional exhaustion, depersonalization and lessening of personal involvement on the job. Current research undertakes a bibliographical review on life quality in work, the Burnout syndrome and its consequences for the individual and for firms.
