Resumo: Current analysis evaluates in situ human teeth enamel affected by a cariogenic factor after the application of titanium tetrafluoride 4% during one minute. Ten deciduous teeth were sectioned in 6 fragments each, with a total of 60 pieces, from which 48 fragments were selected for the experimental group (EG: n=24) and control (CG: n=24). All fragments were placed on acrylic plates. Each intra-oral apparatus received 6 fragments for the palate region and placed three on each side, or rather 3 EG and 3 CG. The two groups were prepared by pumice stone and water prophylaxis for 10 seconds and TiF4 4% was applied to EG for 1 minute. Eight volunteers used the apparatus for 28 days and were counseled to apply a saccharose solution 15% three times a day and to use a non-fluor dentifrice throughout the period. At the end of the period, the fragments of each plate were removed and underwent a quality analysis by polarized light microscopy. Samples with TiF4 showed mitigated de-calcification patterns which suggested a higher protection for teeth enamel when compared to control. Results show that TiF4 4% decreases de-calcification pattern of teeth enamel with a cariogenic factor.

Results show that TiF4 4% decreases de-calcification pattern of teeth enamel with a cariogenic factor.O objetivo do presente trabalho foi avaliar in situ o esmalte decíduo humano submetido a um desafio cariogênico, após aplicação de solução de fluoreto de titânio (TiF4) a 4% durante um minuto. Universidade Cesumar - UniCesumar2013-10-31info:eu-repo/semantics/articleinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersionAvaliado por ParesTrabalho Cruzado, duplo-cego, realizado in situapplication/pdfhttps://periodicos.unicesumar.edu.br/index.php/saudpesq/article/view/2886Saúde e Pesquisa; Vol 7 No 1 (2014): jan./abr.Saúde e Pesquisa; v. 7 n. 1 (2014): jan./abr.2176-9206reponame:Saúde e Pesquisa (Online)instname:Cesumar Diretoria de Pesquisainstacron:CESUMARporhttps://periodicos.unicesumar.edu.br/index.php/saudpesq/article/view/2886/2202Pedrosa, Luciana GomesAlfaya, Thays AlmeidaSantos, Maria Elisa Oliveira dosinfo:eu-repo/semantics/openAccess2020-09-04T12:18:13Zoai:ojs.pkp.sfu.ca:article/2886Revistahttps://periodicos.unicesumar.edu.br/index.php/saudpesqPUBhttps://periodicos.unicesumar.edu.br/index.php/saudpesq/oainaep@cesumar.br2176-92061983-1870opendoar:2020-09-04T12:18:13Saúde e Pesquisa (Online) - Cesumar Diretoria de Pesquisafalse
