Resumo: | Introduction: The health of the individual completely should add the mental, physical and social well -being, ie, it is a process independent of the absence of disease. Thus, health promotion is not just the responsibility of the health sector, and goes beyond a healthy lifestyle. Universities have the potential to contribute to health in several areas, creating work environments, learning and healthy experiences for students, increasing the importance of health and the promotion of the same, providing a favorable and pleasant, always seeking the welfare the individual. Objective: To analyze the perception of the student 's course of physical education in relation to the university as a promoter of health. Material and Methods: The study was characterized as a transversal single collection with quantitative sample, which was applied questionnaire to verify the perception of the graduating students of the first, sixth and last semester of the Physical Education of the University Center of Brasilia. The questionnaire was adapted from the questionnaire Dessen and Peace (2010), composed of 10 objective questions. Participated in this study 90 undergraduate students of Physical Education of the University Center of Brasilia. Results: Among the main findings, it was found that the institution, as a promoter of health, should plan activities to promote health. The university does not adequately distribute brochures, posters, flyers, disseminating videos and images, and that a communication strategy to promote greater awareness of the students about the importance of physical activity in relation to health. However, over 50 % of students responded positively in relation to infrastructure, and that the university is an environment that provides welfare to the student. Conclusions: Steps should be taken to promote the health of students there held their graduation, to encourage and plan physical activity for students, parents and staff, conduct campaigns, conferences and research groups focused on the importance of health. Encourage the publication of pamphlets, pasting photos and posters on bulletin boards, stimulating and inviting students to participate in championships, tournaments, or just encouraging start to do some sport. |

Assim, a promoção da saúde não é responsabilidade exclusiva do setor saúde, e vai para além de um estilo de vida saudável. As universidades possuem potencial para contribuir com a saúde em diversas áreas, criando ambientes de trabalho, aprendizagem e vivências saudáveis para os estudantes, ampliando a importância da saúde e a promoção da mesma, proporcionando um ambiente favorável e agradável, visando sempre o bemestar do indivíduo. Objetivo: Analisar a percepção do graduando do curso de educação física em relação à universidade como promotora de saúde. Material e Métodos: O estudo foi caracterizado como transversal de coleta única, com amostra quantitativa, em que foi aplicado questionário para verificar a percepção do aluno graduando do primeiro, sexto e último semestre do curso de Educação Física do Centro Universitário de Brasília. O questionário aplicado foi adaptado do questionário de Dessen e Paz (2010), composto por 10 perguntas objetivas. Participaram desse estudo 90 alunos graduandos do curso de Educação Física do Centro Universitário de Brasília. Resultados e Discussão: Dentre os principais achados, verificou-se que a instituição, como promotora da saúde, deve planejar atividades para promover saúde. A universidade não distribui adequadamente folhetos, cartazes, panfletos, divulgando vídeos e imagens, sendo isso uma estratégia de comunicação para promover uma maior conscientização dos alunos sobre a importância da atividade física em relação à saúde. No entanto, mais de 50% dos alunos responderam positivamente em relação à infraestrutura, e que a universidade é um ambiente que oferece bem-estar ao aluno. Considerações Finais: Providências devem ser tomadas para promover a saúde dos alunos que ali realizam sua graduação, como incentivar e planejar atividade física para os mesmos, pais e funcionários, realizar campanhas, congressos e grupos de pesquisas voltados à importância da saúde.
