Resumo: This research aims at analyzing the interpersonal communications which take place at internet chats (UOL, Terra, Yahoo), trying to detect changes in the personal identity in detriment of the virtual identity. This document has as its objective, based on the results found, the discussion of the basis of virtual communication, aiming at establishing new parameters for the construction of this recent phenomenon in the discussion that it establishes with the social theories of speech and the Internet environment.
