Resumo: O presente trabalho faz considerações sobre o processo de integração regional na América Latina e também realiza uma análise sucinta da Iniciativa de Integração da Infraestrutura Regional Sul-Americana (IIRSA), dando ênfase aos impactos socioambientais ocasionados, além do mais serão apresentadas sugestões para sua mitigação.
