Resumo: | This article aims to make a critical analysis of the teaching of Mathematics with regard to the academic success of students. This research was carried out on a population of fifty-one (51) students of different sexes, including twenty girls and thirty-one boys. This survey was carried out by choosing a sample of twenty-five students. These twenty-five students were chosen based on the following criteria: their marks, their average and the participation of these students during this course. We observed the behavior of the students during math lessons, then we could observe his appreciation for this subject. Then we checked the learner assessment methods. We have seen that the majority of students say they like math, but they can't get many marks in this subject. Keywords: School learning; Learning; Mathematics education; Teaching-learning; School success.Cet article a pour objectif de faire une analyse critique sur l’enseignement des Mathématiques à l’égard de la réussite scolaire des élèves du lycée National Jean Jacques Acaau de Port-Margot. Pour réaliser cette recherche, on a enquêté 25 élèves sur 51 de la classe de rhéto de l’établissement. Les élèves enquêtés ont été sélectionnés en fonction des critères suivants : leurs notes finales en mathématique, leur moyenne et leur participation durant le déroulement du cours. Pour essayer d’atteindre un résultat satisfaisant, on a observé le niveau de motivation des élèves durant les cours, ensuite on a aussi observé leur niveau de compréhension des contenus. Puis, on a vérifié les méthodes d’évaluation des apprenants. En matière de résultat global, on a pu constater que la majorité d’élèves déclare qu’ils aiment les mathématiques et arrivent à obtenir de notes satisfaisantes.
