RURAL CHILDHOOD EDUCATION:: dialogues on space, environment, and school architecture

Resumo: The paper has as aim at reflection on how school architecture may potentiate daily practices, arrangement and use of Spaces and environments in a rural childhood education institution from a Riverside community in Belém municipality-PA. Dialogue on rural childhood education and architecture, physical space and environment will be carried out in a multi referential way with studies by Brazilian and international researchers who recognize physical space architecture as constituent element of curriculum and enhancer for children’s experiences and their childhoods in plural contexts. This is a field exploratory type research performed with pedagogical coordinators of islands between 2018 and 2021. The research was authorized by the Municipal Secretary of Education of Belém, as well as by participants. Data were surveyed through field journal and photographic records of the facade, spaces, and environments of the school. Findings demonstrate that architectural design of rural childhood education institutions and the way as the Spaces and environments are arranged and lived by different subjects who compose educational Community affect the child identity construction and the offer with quality of experiences lived in Early Childhood Education.

El diálogo sobre Educación Infantil del campo y arquitectura, espacio físico y ambiente será hecho de modo multi referencial con estudios de investigadores brasileños e internacionales que reconocen la arquitectura del espacio físico como elemento Constituyente del currículo y potenciador de experiencias de los niños y sus infancias en contextos plurales. Es una investigación de campo del tipo exploratorio, realizada con coordinadores pedagógicos de las islas entre 2018 y 2021. La investigación fue autorizada por la Secretaria Municipal de Educación de Belém, también por los participantes. Los datos fueron encuestados por medio de diario de campo y registros fotográficos de la fachada, espacios y ambientes de la escuela. Se concluye que el diseño arquitectónico de las instituciones de Educación Infantil del campo y el modo como los espacios y ambientes son organizados y vividos por los diferentes sujetos que componen la comunidad educativa afectan la construcción de la identidad del niño y la oferta con cualidad de experiencias vividas en la Educación Infantil.O artigo reflete sobre como a arquitetura escolar pode potencializar práticas cotidianas, organização e uso dos espaços e ambientes de uma instituição de educação infantil do campo, numa comunidade ribeirinha de Belém-PA. O diálogo entre Educação Infantil do Campo e arquitetura é multirreferencial, com estudos de pesquisadores/as brasileiros/as e estrangeiros/as que reconhecem a arquitetura como elemento do currículo potencializador das experiências das crianças em contextos plurais. Foi uma pesquisa de campo exploratória, realizada entre 2017 e 2021, autorizada pela Secretaria Municipal de Educação de Belém e pelos/as participantes. Os dados foram coletados em diário de campo e registros fotográficos.
