Resumo: Despite many advances in the field of human rights field, especially on the labor issue, there is still a recurrent situation that contradicts all those fundamental rights: the persistence of slavery or similar situations. This problem happens in many countries, like Brazil. This reality is common in the lives of millions of men, women and children. Thus, slavery becomes a problem not only for those who experience it directly, but for the Justice and State, when trying to effectively garantee those fundamemtal rights for all. This article aims to identify some existing forms of slavery in Brazil today, based on bibliographic research.

This article aims to identify some existing forms of slavery in Brazil today, based on bibliographic research.Apesar dos diversos avanços ocorridos na área dos Direitos Humanos, especialmente quanto à questão trabalhista, há uma situação ainda muito recorrente que contradiz todos os direitos prescritos ao homem: a persistência da escravidão ou de situações análogas a este tipo de trabalho. Isso acontece em diversos países, especialmente naqueles em desenvolvimento, tal qual o Brasil. Esta realidade faz-se presente na vida de milhões de homens, mulheres e crianças. Assim, a escravidão torna-se um problema não só para aqueles que a sofrem diretamente, mas para o âmbito da Justiça e do Direito, ao se tentar efetivamente concretizar os direitos e garantias fundamentais para todos.Este artigo visa identificar algumas formas de escravidão existentes no Brasil atual, baseado em pesquisa bibliográfica.
