Resumo: | Introduction: Objective: To identify if nursing students developed guidelines on sexuality with the elderly in the curricular stages in the primary, secondary or tertiary care of the nursing course. Method: This is an exploratory descriptive study with a qualitative approach, using the Bardin content analysis technique. It was developed at the University Center in the city of Caxias do Sul / RS, with 27 students from the 9th and 10th semester Nursing courses. Data collection was performed in the first half of 2019, after approval by the FSG Ethics and Research Committee. Conclusion: The questions of the data collected in the open questions emerged the following categories according to data analysis: Sexuality in the elderly and the approach of the nursing academics / Planning of the activities assists in the curricular stages / The nursing consultation and the elderly approach to the sexuality. It identified that nursing students consider the sexuality of the elderly important, but do not seek material to update themselves on the subject and educational institutions could place in their curricular matrices specific pedagogical material of the elderly's health so that when the student goes to the curricular stages, he is prepared for this challenge, able to deal with the sexuality of the elderly with naturalness without shame and prejudice. |

Método: Trata-se de um estudo descritivo exploratório, com abordagem qualitativa, com a técnica de Análise de conteúdo de Bardin. Foi desenvolvido no Centro Universitário na cidade de Caxias do Sul/RS, com 27 acadêmicos do curso de Enfermagem do 9º e 10º semestre. A coleta de dados foi realizada no primeiro semestre de 2019, após aprovação de Comitê Ética e Pesquisa da FSG. Conclusão: As questões dos dados coletados nas questões abertas emergiram as seguintes categorias conforme análise de dados: Sexualidade nos idosos e a abordagem dos acadêmicos de enfermagem/ Planejamento das atividades assistências nos estágios curriculares/A consulta de enfermagem e a abordagem do idoso em relação à sexualidade.
