Motivo de afastamento do trabalho e qualidade de vida de servidores públicos municipais

Resumo: Introduction: The contemporary lifestyle, characterized by exhausting working hours and consequent reduction of time for eating, regular practice of physical exercise and leisure with the family, added to emotional and mental overload, has a negative impact on the quality of life of workers and leads the increase in the number leaves. Objective: To identify the reasons for absence from work and its relationship with the quality of life of municipal civil servants in a municipality in Minas Gerais. Methods: This is an observational, cross-sectional study with a quantitative approach. Seventy (70) public servants, aged between 18 and 70 years old, were interviewed. Sociodemographic information and information about absence from work, the presence of chronic non-communicable diseases, and drug used were collected through a semi-structured questionnaire, and the WHOQOL-BREF questionnaire was used to assess quality of life. Descriptive analysis was performed by means and standard deviation for all variables and for statistical analysis Qui-square test, Fisher’s exact test and logistic regression. In addition to the test t-tests and Cohen’s “d” statistic for comparing the mean scores for remote and non-remote and, depressive and non-depressive. Results: The results show that of the 70 employees interviewed, 64% have already left work. There was a significant difference regarding the distance between men and women (p <0.05). Regarding the function, the type of employment and the workload, it was evident that they were not associated with the leave. Regarding QOL, it was evidenced that, in general, there was no difference between the remote and non-remote groups. However, when these same results were compared between individuals on leave due to depression and for other reasons, there was a statistically significant difference for the total score (p = 0.02; Cohen's d = 0.75) and for the psychological domain (p = 0.04; Cohen's d = 0.67). Conclusion: the present study identified a high number of absences from work, especially among women. Although the absence is not associated with the results of the QOL, the impact of depression on the QOL was found among those on leave. It is believed that strategies to promote mental health in the workplace are essential for improving QOL and reducing sick leave. Keywords: Health Promotion, Social Service, Quality of Life.

Keywords: Health Promotion, Social Service, Quality of Life.Introdução: O estilo de vida contemporâneo, caracterizado por exaustivas jornadas de trabalho e consequente diminuição do tempo para alimentação, prática regular de exercício físico e lazer com a família, somado à sobrecarga emocional e mental, repercute negativamente na qualidade de vida dos trabalhadores e leva ao aumento do número de afastamentos. Objetivo: Identificar os motivos de afastamento no trabalho e sua relação com a qualidade de vida de servidores públicos municipais de um município de Minas Gerais. Métodos: Trata-se de um estudo observacional, de corte transversal e abordagem quantitativa. Foram entrevistados 70 servidores públicos, com idade entre 18 e 70 anos. As informações sociodemográficas e a respeito do afastamento do trabalho, presença de doenças crônicas não transmissíveis e uso medicamentoso foram colhidas por meio de um questionário semiestruturado, e para a avaliação da qualidade de vida foi utilizado o questionário WHOQOL-BREF. Realizou-se a análise descritiva por meio de média e desvio-padrão para todas as variáveis e para a análise estatística: Teste qui-quadrado, Teste Exato de Fisher e a Regressão Logística. Além dos Teste-t e a estatística “d” de Cohen para a comparação dos escores das médias para afastados e não afastados e, depressivos e não depressivos. Resultados: Os resultados apontam que dos 70 servidores entrevistados, 64% já se afastaram do trabalho. Houve uma diferença significativa com relação ao afastamento entre homens e mulheres (p<0,05). Já com relação a função, ao tipo de vínculo e à carga horária de trabalho evidenciou-se que não estiveram associados com os afastamentos. A respeito da QV, foi evidenciado que, de maneira geral, não houve diferença entre os grupos afastados e não afastados. No entanto, quando estes mesmos resultados foram comparados entre indivíduos afastados por depressão e por outros motivos, verificou-se uma diferença estatisticamente significativa para a pontuação total (p=0,02; Cohen's d=0,75) e para o domínio psicológico (p=0,04; Cohen's d=0,67). Conclusão: o presente estudo identificou um número elevado de afastamento do trabalho, especialmente entre as mulheres. Apesar do afastamento não estar associado com os resultados da QV, constatou-se o impacto da depressão na QV entre os afastados. Acredita-se que estratégias de promoção da saúde mental no ambiente de trabalho sejam imprescindíveis para a melhoria da QV e diminuição dos afastamentos. Palavras-Chave: Promoção Da Saúde.
