Resumo: The work will present a brief socio-political analysis of Chile, Lebanon and Hong Kong, so that it is possible to understand the reasons that took countries to the streets in 2019. We will also analyze how and why the movie “The Joker” inspired these protesters , using his mask, paint and clothing amidst the protests, what are the links between the protests and the film and what the character represents for the protesters. We will understand how the symbology process works for man and how and why there is identification of the public with a fictional character, in addition to the influence of Soft Power that was able to turn a character of American origin into a symbol in the protests in Chile, Hong Kong and Lebanon.

Também iremos analisar como e porque o filme “Coringa” inspirou esses manifestantes, utilizando-o sua máscara, pintura e roupa em meio aos protestos, quais as ligações dos protestos com o filme e o que o personagem representa para os manifestantes.
