Percepções de vida de adolescentes em situação de conflito com a lei

Resumo: | The objective of this study was to know the perceptions of the life of adolescents who fulfill socio-educational measure in a Center of Specialized Reference of Social Attention - CREAS. This is a qualitative, descriptive-exploratory study. Five adolescents, all male, between the ages of 14 and 17, who were being followed up at CREAS, participated in this study, in socio-educational measure for having committed an infraction. Individual and group interviews were conducted, both of which followed a semi-structured script. We used the technique of content analysis to treat the data, which generated two categories; "Knowing the reality of adolescents in conflict with the law," and "personal skills, dreams and future prospects." The data showed that adolescents had committed an infraction similar to the crime of robbery, lived in outlying areas of the city, with relatives, were out of school, used marijuana frequently. Regarding infractions and social and educational measures, most of the adolescents showed distancing between the act committed and the measure generated, did not feel involved in what they did. The socio-educational measure was seen by the majority as punishment and not as a new opportunity for learning, demonstrating little motivation in the face of the opportunity to learn different artistic activities. For one participant alone, the measure showed an opportunity for change, recognizing that there are better ways to be followed than the 'world of crime'. Paradoxically they fed future dreams of becoming lawyers, veterinarians, and other professions, as well as demonstrating a dream of owning a home. They recognized some artistic skills - such as painting and drawing, and interest in capoeira among other activities. Adolescents' perceptions led us to understand the possibility of working with two forms of interventions: a) more meaningful educational interventions for young people, and b) interventions built, especially with the family. To do so, the measures must consider their territory, with weaknesses and potentialities, knowing that it is in this one that the adolescents are inserted, with all their problems, links, challenges and vicissitudes. To lead them, therefore, to dream of possibilities passes, necessarily by the recognition of these singularities, and from this one must propose actions and measures that re-signify the senses of the acts, so that they cease to be infractions and are propositions of life. |

Trata-se de um estudo de abordagem qualitativa, descritivoexploratório. Participaram deste estudo cinco adolescentes, todos do sexo masculino, na faixa etária de 14 a 17 anos, que estavam em acompanhamento no CREAS, em medida socioeducativa por terem cometido ato infracional. Foram realizadas entrevistas individuais e uma grupal, ambas seguiram um roteiro semiestruturado. Utilizou-se a técnica de análise de conteúdo para tratamento dos dados, que geraram duas categorias; “conhecendo a realidade dos adolescentes em conflito com a lei”, e “habilidades pessoais, sonhos e perspectivas futuras’. Os dados mostraram que os adolescentes tinham cometido ato infracional similar ao crime de roubo, viviam em bairros periféricos da cidade, junto aos familiares, estavam fora da escola, faziam uso frequente de maconha. Quanto aos atos infracionais cometidos e as medidas socioeducativas, a maior parte dos adolescentes revelou distanciamento entre o ato cometido e a medida gerada, não se sentindo implicados no que fizeram. A medida socioeducativa era vista, pela maioria, como punição e não como nova oportunidade de aprendizado, demonstrando pouca motivação diante da oportunidade de aprendizado de diferentes atividades artísticas. Para um participante apenas, a medida se mostrou oportunidade de mudanças, reconhecendo que há caminhos melhores a serem seguidos que o ‘mundo do crime’. Paradoxalmente alimentavam sonhos futuros de se tornarem advogados, veterinários e terem outras profissões, além de demonstrarem o sonho de ter uma casa própria. Reconheciam algumas habilidades artísticas – como pintura e desenho, e interesse em capoeira entre outras atividades. As percepções dos adolescentes levaram a entender a possibilidade de se trabalhar com duas formas de intervenções: a) intervenções educativas mais significativas para os jovens e b) intervenções construídas, especialmente, junto à família. Para tanto, as medidas devem considerar seu território, com fragilidades e potencialidades, sabendo-se que é neste que os adolescentes se encontram inseridos, com todas as suas problemáticas, vínculos, desafios e vicissitudes.
