Resumo: | Water is the subject of debate and research in various fields of science, especially regarding consumption and the impacts derived therefrom. Water attracts constant interest because of its availability and indispensability to human survival and development. In regions such as the Amazon biome, where the productive activities of agribusiness are present in large scale, anthropogenic impacts are significant, especially to water resources. This project aimed to analyze the use of water resources in the production of Soybean and Livestock in the Amazon biome region by checking the impacts of these processes. Using the methodology of the Water Footprint enabled the comparison with other studies globally. The average water footprint for the two soy crop areas studied was 1004.16 m3.ton-1, while the world average is 2145 m3.ton-1. The water footprint for beef cattle was found to be 13,074 L.kg-1 compared to a world average of 21,829 L.kg-1.Based on the data obtained it was possible to demonstrate that the presence and operationalization of these productive chains in the Amazon generate systemic impacts, but within the current economic development model they are necessary and the way in which they have been conducted is more sustainable from the water point of view than in the other locations reported in the literature. |

Universidade PositivoBrasilPós-GraduaçãoPrograma de Pós-Graduação em Gestão AmbientalUPDziedzic , Mauríciohttp://lattes.cnpq.br/6246082714728212Rodrigues Junior, Urandi João2021-08-10T19:27:34Z20172021-08-10T19:27:34Z2017info:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersioninfo:eu-repo/semantics/doctoralThesisapplication/pdfhttps://repositorio.cruzeirodosul.edu.br/handle/123456789/2523porinfo:eu-repo/semantics/openAccessreponame:Repositório do Centro Universitário Braz Cubasinstname:Centro Universitário Braz Cubas (CUB)instacron:CUB2021-08-12T13:21:06Zoai:repositorio.cruzeirodosul.edu.br:123456789/2523Repositório InstitucionalPUBhttps://repositorio.brazcubas.edu.br/oai/requestbibli@brazcubas.edu.bropendoar:2021-08-12T13:21:06Repositório do Centro Universitário Braz Cubas - Centro Universitário Braz Cubas (CUB)false |
