With the growth in the search for lasting beauty, the cosmetic and pharmaceutical market has innovated its techniques and products. The skin is the mirror of aging, and with the emergence of new procedures it is possible to delay this natural process, promoting rejuvenation for the skin. Hyaluronic acid (HA) is a hydrophilic molecule that in addition to retaining water helps in skin hydration and volumization. Its filling restores the volume of the face, decreasing the depth of the grooves, expression lines and wrinkles. Its dermocosmetic function is very effective, and its results are extraordinary. Thus, this work aims to present the effectiveness of the applicability of hyaluronic acid and its benefits in facial rejuvenation. The methodological procedure consisted of a survey in the literature, obtained through a systematic review relevant to the study. As it is a highly satisfactory procedure and without contraindications, the patient will rarely have adverse effects. Due to its growing popularity, AH is highlighted worldwide, passing in front of a wide range of dermal fillers. Thus, it is hoped that with this work, the reader will be able to broaden his view on facial rejuvenation and the effectiveness of dermal filling with hyaluronic acid.
