Resumo: This study interrelates the theoretical discussions about the mediation of information with the discussion of affirmative actions, aiming at an information that boosts equity among the people of a society, as well as the breaking of inequalities built historically and aims at the social development of the nation. The study is within the scope of Information Science, including the discussion about information focused on the demands of society. It is a qualitative, descriptive and documentary research, in which the concept of information mediation in the social context of affirmative actions is discussed, aiming at the transformations in society relations. It is highlighted as a result obtained the reflection on the action of interference in the mediation process that drive the appropriation of information about and affirmative actions in diverse socio-cultural contexts and marked by inequalities. It ends with the understanding of a complex and dynamic discussion by involving the demands of individuals in a society, allowing other approaches and understanding of the theme that aim at information that address social equality and access to opportunities for social rights.

El estudio está en el ámbito de la Ciencia de la Información, comprendiendo la discusión sobre la información volcada para las demandas de la sociedad. Se trata de investigación cualitativa, descriptiva y documental, en la que se discute el concepto de mediación de la información en el contexto social de las acciones afirmativas, visando las transformaciones en las relaciones de la sociedad. Se destaca como resultado obtenido la reflexión sobre la acción de interferencia en el proceso de mediación que impulsan la apropiación de la información sobre y de las acciones afirmativas en contextos socioculturales diverso y marcado por desigualdades. Finaliza con la comprensión de una discusión compleja y dinámica por involucrar las demandas de los individuos de una sociedad, permitiendo otros abordajes y comprensión de la temática que visan informaciones que aborden la igualdad social y el acceso a oportunidades de derechos sociales.Este estudo inter-relaciona as discussões teóricas sobre a mediação da informação com a discussão de ações afirmativas, visando uma informação que impulsiona a equidade entre as pessoas de uma sociedade, bem como o rompimento de desigualdades construídas historicamente e visa o desenvolvimento social da nação. O estudo está no âmbito da Ciência da Informação, compreendendo a discussão sobre a informação voltada para as demandas da sociedade. Trata-se de pesquisa qualitativa, descritiva e documental, em que se discute o conceito de mediação da informação no contexto social das ações afirmativas, visando as transformações nas relações da sociedade. Destaca-se como resultado obtido a reflexão sobre a ação de interferência no processo de mediação que impulsionam a apropriação da informação sobre e das ações afirmativas em contextos socioculturais diverso e marcado por desigualdades.
