Information literacy within the framework of Plan CEIBAL

Resumo: The progress made in the framework of the research project "Information Literacy and Reading Skills: tools for access to the information and knowledge society", approved and financed by the Programa de Desarrollo Académico de la Información y la Comunicación (PRODIC) of the Universidad de la Republica, Uruguay. The relationship between digital literacy, information literacy and reading skills is addressed, taking the Plan Ceibal as an object of study. The research aims to analyze whether Plan Ceibal considers instances of training in the use of information to propose an information literacy model that is integrated into said Plan. The project is consolidating an innovative and recently created line of research in Uruguay and from it new spaces of academic projection are being generated that will contribute to strengthening the role of information professionals and their insertion in the socio-educational context of the country.

Se aborda la relación entre la alfabetización digital, la alfabetización en información y las competencias lectoras tomando como objeto de estudio el Plan Ceibal. La investigación aspira a analizar si el Plan Ceibal considera instancias de formación en el uso de la información para proponer un modelo de alfabetización en información que sea integrado a dicho Plan. El proyecto está consolidando una línea de investigación innovadora y de reciente creación en Uruguay y a partir de él se están generando nuevos espacios de proyección académica que contribuirán a fortalecer el rol del profesional de la información y su inserción en el contexto socio-educativo del país.Apresenta-se os progressos realizados no âmbito do projeto de investigação "Alfabetização Informacional e Competências Leitoras: ferramentas de acesso à Sociedade da Informação e do Conhecimento", aprovado e financiado pelo Programa de Desarrollo Académico de la Información y la Comunicación (PRODIC) da Universidad de la República, Uruguai. A relação entre alfabetização digital, alfabetização informacional e habilidades de leitura é abordada, tomando o Plano Ceibal como objeto de estudo. A pesquisa visa analisar se o Plano Ceibal considera as instâncias de formação no uso da informação para propor um modelo de competência em informação que esteja integrado ao referido Plano.
