O propósito deste artigo é apresentar algumas reflexões sobre a relação entre a estética da existência de Michel Foucault com o campo educacional. Inicialmente, descrevemos as linhas gerais da fase tardia da teoria foucaultiana da estética da existência e sua conexão com a educação. Em seguida, caracterizamos as noções de cuidado de si, governo de si e modos de subjetivação que são elementos fundamentais para a compreensão do legado filosófico tardio foucaultiano. Finalmente, evidenciamos que as noções foucaultianas descritas no decorrer do presente estudo são relevantes tanto para compreender alguns aspectos da relação entre docentes e discentes quanto para mediar esta relação no cenário escolar contemporâneo como uma alternativa permeada pela sensibilidade estética e por valores éticos.Palavras-chave:  Estética da existência. Educação. The Aesthetics of existence and education: some considerations on stultitia and sapientia in the contemporary school scenarioAbstract: The purpose of this article is to present some reflections on the relationship between Michel Foucault´s aesthetics of existence and the educational field. Initially, we describe the general lines of the late phase of Foucault´s theory of the aesthetics of existence and its connection with education. Then, we characterize the notions of self-care, self-government and modes of subjectivation, which are fundamental elements for understanding the late Foucaultian philosophical legacy. Finally, we show that the Foucaultian notions described in the course of this study are relevant both to understand some aspects of the relationship between teachers and students and to mediate this relationship in the contemporary school scenario as an alternative permeated by aesthetic sensibility and ethical values.Keywords: The aesthetics of existence.
