Response of dry beans to phosphorus fertilizers in the presence and absence of liming

Resumo: The response of dry beans (Phaseous vulgaris L.) to phosphorus and liming treatments was studied in a greenhouse experiment with a Distrophic Red yellow Latosol (Oxisol) from, Viçosa, Minas Gerais State, Brazil. The experiment consisted of nine replications of a 2 x 4 complete randomized factorial design where non liming and recommended liming were combined to three sources of phosphorus: Araxá rock phosphate, Yoorin thermphosphate and triple superphosphate. The plants were harvested 45 days after planting. Top dry weight and shoot phosphorus level were evaluated. The results indicate that in the non-liming treatment thermphosphate performs the best when compared to the other two sources. On the other hand, when soil was treated with lime both termphosphate and triple superphosphate showed similar results.

On the other hand, when soil was treated with lime both termphosphate and triple superphosphate showed similar results.Com o objetivo de verificar a resposta do feijoeiro (Phaseolus vulgaris L.) a fontes de fósforo, na presença e na ausência de calagem, instalou-se um experimento em casa de vegetação, utilizando-se uma amostra de solo Latossolo Vermelho-Amarelo Distrófico, textura argilosa, não cultivado, do município de Viçosa, MG, no período de fevereiro a abril de 1984. O delineamento experimental foi inteiramente casualizado, sendo um fatorial 2 x 4, em nove repetições. Os tratamentos foram formados da seguinte combinação: 0 e 1 x necessidade de calagem, sem fósforo e com fósforo de três fontes: superfosfato triplo, termofosfato Yoorim e fosfato de Araxá. A colheita foi efetuada aos 45 dias após o plantio. Obtiveram-se o peso da parte aérea seca e o teor de fósforo acumulado.
