Resumo: This paper refers to the development of a prototype sprayer built at the Centro Nacional de Pesquisa de Hortaliças (CNPH/EMBRAPA), in Brasília, DF, Brazil. Its principal characteristic is its pressure source utilizing a cylindric container with CO2, which may be replaced by a compressed air cylinder connected to the solution tank. The equipment is specially suitable for pesticides and foliar nutrient application in small areas, and can be used independently from the soil relief. The equipment presents high versatility for small-plot work.

The equipment presents high versatility for small-plot work.O presente trabalho refere-se a um protótipo de pulverizador de precisão, desenvolvido no Centro Nacional de Pesquisa de Hortaliças (CNPH/EMBRAPA), cujo modelo satisfaz à necessidade da pesquisa, como também ao pequeno produtor rural. Sua principal característica é a fonte geradora de pressão, que utiliza um tubo de CO2, o qual poderá ser substituído por ar comprimido, ligado ao tanque de solução. Sua aplicação se limita a pequenas áreas, principalmente na distribuição de herbicida, mas também de outros agrotóxicos e fertilizantes. Pode ser operado em terrenos planos e acidentados.
