Resumo: Yield of heart of palm planta (Euterpe edulis Mart.) was studied under na intercropping system with mature rubber trees (Hevea brasiliensis MueIl. Arg.) at Ubatuba a coastal region of São Paulo State, Brazil. The trial was conducted ia a randomized block design with five planting densities, four replications and 32 planta per plot. Yield was determined by weight, diameter and length of heart of palm harvested ten years after planting. Relationships were stablished among nine vegetative characters with five others related to the heart of palm itself, utilizing a series of measurements taken from individual palms. The results indicated that average heart of palm yield, in a per plant basis was statistically signifcant with planting densities, ranging from 133.02 to 413.60 grams for plant spacing of 1 mx 1 m and 2 m x 2 m, respectivelly. Heart of palm yield per area varied from 1.033 to 1,612 kg/ha, with a significant linear decrease with the increase of area per plot. The girth of palms at 130cm height was, among the vegetative characters studied, the best correlated with heart of palm production

The girth of palms at 130cm height was, among the vegetative characters studied, the best correlated with heart of palm productionFoi estudado o comportamento de palmeiras da espécie Euterpeedulis Mart. quando em cultivo sob seringueiras (Hevea brasiliensis Muell. Pesquisa Agropecuaria BrasileiraPesquisa Agropecuária BrasileiraBovi, Marilene Leão AlvesJúnior, Gentil GodoyNagai, VioletaCardoso, Mário2014-04-17info:eu-repo/semantics/articleinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersionapplication/pdfhttps://seer.sct.embrapa.br/index.php/pab/article/view/13548Pesquisa Agropecuaria Brasileira; v.25, n.7, jul. 1990; 1023-1029Pesquisa Agropecuária Brasileira; v.25, n.7, jul. 1990; 1023-10291678-39210100-104xreponame:Pesquisa Agropecuária Brasileira (Online)instname:Empresa Brasileira de Pesquisa Agropecuária (Embrapa)instacron:EMBRAPAporhttps://seer.sct.embrapa.br/index.php/pab/article/view/13548/7692info:eu-repo/semantics/openAccess2014-04-17T14:34:50Zoai:ojs.seer.sct.embrapa.br:article/13548Revistahttp://seer.sct.embrapa.br/index.php/pabPRIhttps://old.scielo.br/oai/scielo-oai.phppab@sct.embrapa.br || sct.pab@embrapa.br1678-39210100-204Xopendoar:2014-04-17T14:34:50Pesquisa Agropecuária Brasileira (Online) - Empresa Brasileira de Pesquisa Agropecuária (Embrapa)false
