Resumo: | Body weight (BW), feed intake (FI), feed conversion rate (FC = FI/BW) and percentage of abdominal fat were evaluated in broilers receiving diets with five crude protein levels (23, 22, 21, 20 and 19%) from 1 to 28 days, and 21, 20, 19, 18 and 17% from 29 to 49 days of age. The energy levels were 3.100 kcal ME/kg for both phases. The treatments consisted of 20 minutes of feed availability and three feeding intervals between meals (1:30, 3:00 and 4:30 hours) and control treatment with ad libitum feeding. Statistically significant (P < 0.05) effects in the performance were observed among feeding intervals except for body weight and percentage of abdominal fat. No interaction was observed between protein levels and feeding intervals. The ad libitum treatment had the heaviest BW, but a worse feed conversion rate. |

Verificou-se o ganho de peso, (GP), consumo de ração (CR), conversão alimentar (CA), peso da carcaça (PC), rendimento de carcaça (RC) e gordura abdominal (GA). Utilizaram-se rações isocalóricas (3.100 kcal/EM) à base de milho e farelo de soja, com 23, 22, 21, 20 e 19% de proteína bruta (PB) no período de 1 a 28 dias; e 21, 20, 19, 18 e 17% de PB de 29 a 49 dias; as aves foram arraçoadas da seguinte maneira: 20 minutos de alimento a vontade a cada intervalo de 1:30, 3:00 e 4:30 horas; uma ração-testemunha a vontade e três repetições por tratamento. As análises estatísticas mostraram que houve diferença significativa (P < 0,05) entre horários de alimentação sobre o desempenho, para todas as variáveis, exceto RC e PC. Alimentação a vontade apresentou melhor GP, porém pior CA.
