Persistence of linuron herbicide in soils under soybean crop

Resumo: | The persistence of linuron in the soil was investigated under field conditions in three types of soil during the years 1983/84, 1984/85 and 1985/86 on soybeans (Glycine max Merrill). Soil samples were taken periodically from the field experiments to determine herbicide activity. The bioassay methodology conducted under controlled conditions of a phytotron was utilized. The results indicated that linuron bioactivity, in doses equivalent to 1.75 kg/ha persists in the soil, at a depth of 0 cm to 10 cm, three weeks after its application in pre-emergence. For periods superior to four weeks, bioactivity disappeared. Lower doses of the product tend to persist for shorter periods. |

Estudou-se, durante os anos de 1983/84, 1984/85, 1985/86, em condições de campo, numa lavoura de soja (Glycine max Merrill) e em três tipos de solo, a persistência do herbicida linuron no solo. Dos experimentos de campo foram retiradas, periodicamente, amostras de solo para determinação da atividade do herbicida. Empregou-se a metodologia de bioensaios conduzidos em condições controladas fornecidas por um fitotron. Os resultados demonstraram que, em doses de 1,75 kg/ha, o linuron permanece com bioatividade no solo, à profundidade de 0 cm a 10 cm, três semanas após a sua aplicação em pré-emergência. Para um período superior a quatro semanas, o solo não apresentou mais persistência do produto. Doses mais baixas do produto tendem a apresentar períodos menores de persistência.
