Resumo: The dignity of the human person is a source of normativity that allows an axiological opening combined with rationality and democracy for the activation of a mentality perfected by new paradigms such as sustainability and sustainable development. The aim of this paper is to analyze the cultural dimension of human dignity in constitutionalism and its contribution to corroborate a humanistic interpretation of the paradigms of sustainability and sustainable development. Regarding methodology, it used the rationale inductive through literature, initially conducting an analytical treatment of the cultural dimension of human dignity, describing problems and challenges, as well as presenting a conceptual proposal, and then correlate it with the sustainability and sustainable development ideas.

O objetivo deste artigo é analisar a dimensão cultural da dignidade da pessoa humana no constitucionalismo e sua contribuição para corroborar uma interpretação humanista dos paradigmas da sustentabilidade e do desenvolvimento sustentável.
