The future of uberized work in the world and, specifically, in Brazil, necessarily involves reflections on the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic on global society. This is reflected on two clear fronts: the emergence of a new guise of technological capitalism, as well as an observation on the situation of the labor market itself, especially in relation to the moments of severe economic downturn in peripheral countries and in Brazil (post 2008 and aggravated between 2015 and 2016) and the governmental measures adopted to face the crisis until then, in a final moment, to evaluate the measures taken in this current moment. Thus, This article assesses the universe of uberized and precarious work in the face of the measures taken from the decree of the state of calamity caused by the pandemic and the consequent social isolation. To this end, it seeks to briefly point out the panorama of platform capitalism and the changes caused by it, as well as the economic and labor market moment prior to the pandemic. Based on the consequences felt by uberized workers that the social isolation motivated, it tries to point out the measures taken by the Brazilian government to face the pandemic and what perspectives may open for the later moment.
