SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT: CONSIDERATIONS ON TRANSNATIONAL ACTIVITIES

Resumo: This paper analyzes the need to adopt sustainable development as a guideline of economic activity, aiming at protecting human dignity and the environment, from the process of globalization and updates of transnational corporations. In this way, it aims to contribute as discussions on the theme, addressing a need to encourage environmental protection and demonstrate that profit cannot be the sole objective of business activity. To do so, use the hypothetical-deductive method, using bibliographic studies on the proposed theme. Finally, it was found that sustainable development is a great way to ensure economic growth without endangering the environment for present and future generations.

Dessa forma, busca-se contribuir com as discussões sobre o tema, abordando a necessidade de incentivar a proteção ambiental e demonstrar que o lucro não deve ser o único objetivo da atividade empresarial. Para tanto, utilizou-se o método hipotético-dedutivo, valendo-se de estudos bibliográficos sobre o tema proposto.
