This research aims to investigate the gender inequalities experienced in the series, to demonstrate the reality of the women who lead the series, showing the violated rights, in addition to evaluating the divisions and restrictions imposed on each one. This is interesting for the deprecated approach, because it tells the story of a dystopian future, where infertility becomes a problem that plagues states, and the birth rate drops dramatically, impacting the economy and other social relations. In this scenario, religious revolutionaries establish a coup in the state by instituting: the Republic of Gilead, with the internal legal system based on religious issues, and the situation in which women find themselves stands out, because it has a sudden breach of rights considered essential. In addition, the situation of the plot demonstrates inhuman conditions such as forced rape, forced pregnancy, submission to man, prohibition of reading among other human rights violations. In view of these facts, the research seeks to highlight gender inequality from the legal point of view. In this scientific research, the hypothetical-deductive methods. Taking into account the empirical aspects in a certain way, but leaving for main discussion the analyses of theorists and indoctrinators, through the approach of books and scientific articles. The research concludes by the importance of artistic awareness to visualize current problems, especially on gender themes.
